Renault is very keen on entering the Indian market and planning to slip in as soon as possible. Confirming it is the very recent disassociation taking place with former partner Mahindra & Mahindra. On one hand where Mahindra will be bringing in new models of Mahindra Logan under a different model name, Renault on the other is busy testing Renault Fluence on the roads of Chennai.
To start with, this sedan from the company would not be enough to attract potential buyers and to highlight the line-up, the parent company is planning to launch its subsidiary’s very successful SUV, Dacia Duster.
The Logan based car is very well known for its robustness, simplicity and reliability and when launched will definitely give Tata Safari, Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Scorpio etc. cut throat competition.
The car has proven to be a hit globally and is celebrating its success for some years now but earlier it lacked some safety features which are now being offered as standard. So very clearly this new SUV is going to convert the respective segment into a battleground.
