New Model Tata Nano 2015 has been launched in India starting at Rs. 1.99 Lakhs
One really can’t deny that the humble little Tata Nano hasn’t quite set the sales charts on fire. Much of the lackluster sales performance can be attributed to the technical glitches that marred the initial batches of the car. These issues led to some fire-catching incidents, which were, of course, blown out of proportions by some parts of the media. Also, the marketing campaign for the city car failed to leave a lasting impression on the entry-level car buyers. Surely not to be the ones to give up, the boffins at Tata Motors are now close to launching an updated version of their smallest (and cheapest) model, all in a bid to bestow the Nano’s sales performance with a shot in its arm. The Tata Nano facelifted 2015 will carry several cosmetic updates and new features to become more desirable to the small car buying lot. The Tata Nano GenX, as the new model will be called, was recently revealed and will go on sale in a few weeks of time. Specification
The new model Tata Nano 2015, in all probability, would be launched with the same 624cc, twin-cylinder, petrol engine that powers the current model. This engine has a maximum power of 38 bhp and peak torque of 51 Nm. However, the Nano is about to get a new AMT variant, which is sure to make this small car even friendlier in traffic conditions. This automated manual transmission (AMT) will come from the Nano Twist F-Tronic concept that was shown at the Auto Expo 2014. The AMT for the Tata Nano is basically a Magneti-Marelli made system. The AMT will also help Nano users enjoy a more convenient drive and also achieve stellar fuel mileage figures.
