The last generation Honda Jazz, which was earlier on sale in India, has been awarded as the Women’s World Car of the Year 2014
The last generation Honda Jazz, which was earlier being sold in our country, has bagged top honours at this year’s Women’s World Car of the Year Awards, pipping the Kia Soul in the Budget Car Category.
Judged by a panel of female journalists coming from as many as fifteen countries, the winners were judged in ten areas- design and function, style and appeal, comfort, storage, and drive quality. Other factors that the judges considered included the ‘wow’ factor, sex appeal and value for money. The award, organised by New Zealand’s Women’s World magazine, are in fifth year now and honour the best models in 6 categories including best family car, sports car, luxury car, SUV, green car and budget car.

Sandy Myhre, CEO and founder of the Women’s World Car of the Year comments: “Honda can be very proud of this achievement. It is very difficult for any car to be on our shortlist, women motoring writers are very discerning and to win a category is a significant accolade.”
Leon Brannan, Head of Car for Honda (UK) comments: “Being recognised by this formidable judging panel is a fantastic badge of honour for the Jazz and we are delighted to receive this award. The Jazz is a very important model for us, with an extremely loyal following, so we look forward to seeing this success continue when the all-new model arrives here in 2015.”
