2014 Hero Karizma R vs Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi – Spec Sheet Comparison
Hero Karizma R vs Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi- A seemingly never ending duel from which there is never going to emerge a clear winner! Yes, that probably sums up the relation between the two premium bikes from rivaling bike makers. While the Pulsar 220 has won a lot of points from us for its torquey motor, clean design and a long list of features that comprise of a set of brilliant projector headlamps among other things, the Karizma R has always been a favorite due to its refined motor, better dynamics and its timeless appeal. Sadly though, these bikes are no more the most modern products around and hence, both these brutes (of yore) are fast losing out to the fresher, and arguably more potent, competition. While Bajaj seems to have totally given up on the P220 and has been busy working on the 200SS, some months back, the Karizma R was given a comprehensive cosmetic makeover to inject some freshness into the fast aging ‘performance’ bike. While a majority of Indian biking aficionados have shifted their focus to the likes of the KTM Duke 200, there still remain sections of bike buyers who aspire to bring home a Bajaj Pulsar 220 or a Hero Karizma R. Enough has already been said about both these bikes, but we still decided to compare the specsheets of the 2014 Karizma R and the Pulsar 220 DTSi, all in a bid to serve you with all the important facts and figures related to these two motorcycles –
