DC is fairly known for its modified car designs through out the country. But now the brand has moved onto a new level with its first indigenous sports car for India. After being launched at a rather attractive price of INR 35.93 lakhs, the Avanti has been now showcased at the Autocar Performance Show 2015. The sports car was first showcased at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo as a concept and then returned to the same platform in 2014 as a sportscar ready to be produced. The DC Avanti is in every sense a sports car by the looks but the real performance figures also match to those of the known worldwide. This affordable profile the car is made of carbon fiber which makes it light enough for a sporty drive experience.

The DC Avanti India price is INR 35.93 lacs, which makes this model the most affordable sportscar in the country.
Specification
The car is equipped with a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter turbo petrol Ford EcoBoost engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 250 bhp and a peak torque of 366 Nm this power is supplied to the wheels by a 6-speeds manual transmission. The world wide web has the talks of a more powerful version of the car which will utilize V6 petrol engine and will pump out 400 bhp of power. This version of DC Avanti if exists will take some more time to get launched after the basic version currently in progress.

Performance
The car is capable of a 0-100 kmph sprint in 6 seconds and a electronically limited 180 kmph of top speed which looks worthy enough. The car has the Antilock Breaking System (ABS) with Electronic Breakforce Distribution (EBD) which ensures a world class safety features for the driver and the passengers in the two door car.
The car is being produced in the Talegaon factory owned by DC in Pune which will produced 100 units per month as a starter, for latter the news has it that the manufacturers are planning another facility in Gujarat.
