The slow-selling Honda CBR 150R has been rumoured to be getting ready for an upgrade for quite some time. Now the same has been confirmed thanks to the spy pics of the bike with improved looks. The pics surfaced a couple of days ago and were clicked in Indonesia by the auto mobile enthusiasts.
The pics showcase the bike with a lot of borrowed styling from the upgraded sportier avatar of the current CBR 150R model on sale in India. The bike’s full fairing has been inspired by the Honda CBR 300R and now sports the “”Baby Blade” twin head lamp. The twin headlamp has replaced the old single headlamp. The footpeg design has also been changed in the new version and the a new exhaust has been introduced.

The mechanicals of the bike are speculated to remain the same, which means that the CBR 150R will have the same single-cylinder, 149.4 cc, 4-valve engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. The power generated will be 17 BHP and a torque of 12.66 Nm will be a bonus. All this will sum up to give a top speed of 134 KMPH. All this is not being believed to be changed so the new bike will probably include graphical brush ups but no alterations on the mechanical aspect of the machine.
The new version is likely to be go on sales in mid-2015 in India but will be first introduced in Indonesia. Currently the existing CBR 150R is following the same not so exciting sales charts of CBR 250R in India given to the other options in the entry level sportbike segment. The current model is priced at 1.20 Lakhs in Delhi ex-showroom. The new version can be a game changer for the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer in the presence of soon to be introduced Yamaha R15 Version 3 and much awaited Pulsar 200SS.
