The popularity of budget electric scooters has been rising in our market in the last few years
I recently got the opportunity to review the TVS iQube, which is when I decided to put it through its paces. The electric vehicle industry is expanding quickly in our country. Most attention is still on the four-wheeler segment. However, the two-wheeler market is steadily evolving. New startups and established automobile brands are competing fiercely. Each aims to capture a major share of the Indian market. In the middle of this competition, the TVS iQube stands out. It has been a notable presence in the market for some time now.
TVS iQube Acceleration Test
This time around, I was riding the 2.2 kWh battery variant. Note that there are 3.4 kWh and 5.1 kWh versions on sale as well. But with the 2.2 kWh avatar, I wanted to see what the scooter offers. I performed two lap tests to ensure consistent results. In the first round, I was able to clock a 0-40 km/h sprint in 4.10 seconds, and the 0-60 km/h milestone in just 9.02 seconds. Things got even better in the second lap. I achieved the 40 km/h mark in a mere 4 seconds, while the 60 km/h level came up in just 8.02 seconds. Clearly, the budget electric scooter is no slouch when it comes to straight-line acceleration.
