Hyundai Inster offers up to 370 km range, 49 kWh battery, fast charging in 30 mins, and smart features, which makes it a practical urban mobility solution
The Hyundai Inster has been crowned the 2025 World Electric Vehicle at the World Car Awards held during the New York International Auto Show. This marks the fourth year in a row that a Hyundai model has topped one or more categories at the World Car Awards.
Why Inster Stood Out?
The Inster, Hyundai’s compact electric vehicle, impressed the jury with its unique design, high value, and innovation. Its long-range variant offers up to 370 km on a single charge. Fast-charging capabilities allow 10-80% top-up in just 30 minutes. The World Car Awards are judged by 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries. Winners are chosen through a sealed ballot and revealed at the NYIAS each year. This is the latest in a string of accolades for Hyundai. Recent winners include the IONIQ 5 N as 2024’s World Performance Car, and back-to-back triumphs for IONIQ 6 and IONIQ 5 in earlier years.
“The Hyundai INSTER has been a winner with customers since we introduced it. It’s very gratifying that the experts on the prestigious World Car Awards jurors feel the same way. The combination of compelling design, range, enjoyable driving characteristics, intuitive infotainment and technology that customers appreciate is emblematic of Hyundai’s approach of delivering exceptional value to our customers. The fact that our global portfolio is successful both commercially and critically speaks to the hard-working people throughout the Hyundai value chain who are delivering some of the best vehicles on the road today. Thank you to all the jurors for your service to this great industry,” said José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.
