YouTubers often keep uploading content around interesting off-roading challenges between various vehicles
In this post, we take a look at the details of the Maruti Jimny vs Force Gurkha competition in an off-roading environment. Both of these are mighty popular off-roaders. On the one hand, we have the Jimny, which is one of the most successful lightweight off-roading machines on the planet. It has been around for over 5 decades across most international markets. In India, it comes with a 5-door avatar for the first time ever. On the other hand, Force Gurkha is a famed Indian SUV which carries a butch appearance and massive off-tarmac capabilities. Let us see which one comes out on top here.
Maruti Jimny vs Force Gurkha 5-Door Off-Roading Challenge
This video comes to us courtesy of Varun Vashisht on YouTube. The visuals capture the host recording multiple Jimny and Gurkha SUVs trying to climb up a sandy slope at an isolated location. During the initial attempts, the drivers of both SUVs try their hands to get the feel of the surface. It is clear that the initial momentum is able to carry the cars to the midway. However, thereafter, the vehicle starts to slow down rapidly. Interestingly, after a few failed attempts, a Force Gurkha 3-door managed to reach the top.
That was definitely not easy. Still, it represents the capabilities of the regular Gurkha. Then, many other Jimny owners tried and failed to reach the top. Ultimately, one Jimny made it to the top on the back of a huge momentum. Towards the end of the video, we finally witness the Gurkha 5-door also reaching the top. Admittedly, this was a tough competition due to the slippery surface and the lack of traction. Still, the vehicles performed decently.
My View
I would not recommend that the viewers draw any conclusions from such isolated events regarding the capabilities of these cars. There are millions of factors at play, including the modifications on these cars, the drivers and other things. Therefore, we should ideally consume such content only for entertainment purposes and not anything else. I shall keep an eye out for more such cases in the times to come.
