The immensely powerful EV from the Chinese auto giant continues to shatter and create unbelievable records
The BYD Yangwang U7 has achieved a rather impressive feat by successfully completing the Kung-Fu stability challenge. BYD has been expanding its footprint across the world quite rapidly. In the last couple of years, it has flooded various international markets after being successful in China. It offers a great value-for-money proposition with its latest EVs. As a consequence, the legacy car makers are having a hard time competing against their products. That is the reason why countries like the USA have imposed heavy tariffs to prevent BYD from selling cars.
BYD Yangwang U7 Completes Kung-Fu Stability Challenge
We are able to come across this case courtesy of futuretech on Instagram. The visuals encapsulate something truly stunning. A professional Kung-Fu master, Wing Chun, is seen sitting one-legged on top of the BYD Yangwang U7 EV. Note that the EV is in motion and is travelling at around 15 km/h. To make things more challenging, there are numerous 30-50 mm speed breakers on the road. All this while, the master is sitting comfortably on the roof of the EV without getting affected by the undulations on the road. This is a testament to the stability of the electric sedan.
To be specific, the BYD Yangwang U7 boasts Da isus-Z suspension system, which uses LiDAR and cameras to make real-time adjustments for an exceptionally smooth ride. This results in great precision when it comes to tackling road bumps. Furthermore, the quad-motor configuration results in a jaw-dropping 1,282 hp and 1,584 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. This comes from a colossal 135.5 kWh battery pack providing a range of 720 km on a single charge. These are some of the most impressive stats on offer today.
My View
BYD is emerging as the new superpower when it comes to new-age EVs. It has multiple brands under its ownership which are dedicated to cater to a specific set of customers. These range from ultra-affordable daily users to high-performance vehicles and everything in between. In India, we already have multiple BYD EVs. Going forward, it is possible that we might even get a taste of the Yangwang division of BYD. Let us keep an eye out for that.
