Hyundai Creta becomes India’s best-selling car in March 2025 with 18,059 units sold, leading SUV sales and marking a 20% YoY growth in FY 2024-25
The Hyundai Creta was India’s highest-selling car in March 2025, with 18,059 units sold. It also retained its top spot as the best-selling SUV in Q4 FY 2024-25 (Jan–Mar), recording a total of 52,898 units.
Over 1.5 Million Hyundai Creta SUVs Sold Since 2015
For the entire FY 2024-25, Hyundai sold 1,94,871 units of the Creta, making it the third highest-selling passenger vehicle of the year. This marks a 20% year-on-year growth, the highest-ever annual sales for the model. Hyundai has achieved a major milestone, with total SUV sales surpassing 2.5 million units. The Creta alone accounts for 1.5 million units, including both domestic and export markets since its debut. Over the years, the Creta has played a crucial role in shaping the mid-size SUV segment. A significant development this year was the launch of the Hyundai Creta Electric, the brand’s first locally developed EV. As India moves towards electric mobility, this new model is expected to further strengthen Hyundai’s foothold in the market.
