The instances of big companies offering gifts to their employees are not all that common anywhere in the world
In a rather impressive demonstration of generosity, a Jewellery shop owner in Gujarat decided to gift luxury cars, bikes and vacations to his loyal employees. This is something we don’t see all that often. Big companies and businessmen generally treat themselves with opulent cars, luxury homes and extravagant vacations. In this process, the hard-working employees are ignored. It is clear that no company can grow without its employees and workers. Hence, it is only fair to do some profit sharing with them.
Jewellery Shop Owner Gifts Luxury Cars to Loyal Employees
As per the news reports online, Kailash Kabra, the founder of Kabra Jewels in Gujarat, set out a target to clock the Rs 200 Crore revenue milestone. When that was achieved, he decided to reward 12 senior employees with new vehicles. The celebration took place at the company’s headquarters. There, the selected employees received prestigious gifts including the likes of the Mahindra XUV700, Toyota Innova, Hyundai i10, Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Ertiga cars. However, that was not all.
There were some more rewards in store for the other workers. This included two-wheelers, mobile phones, family holiday packages, gold and silver coins. All these components were there to recognize the hard work the employees put into creating this business. Note that Kailash Kabra started this business at the age of 21. He said, “When we started, we had just 12 employees and a turnover of ₹2 crore. Today, our team has grown to 140 members, and we’ve crossed ₹200 crore in sales for the financial year 2024-25. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without my team’s dedication.” He is evidently grateful to his first employees.
My View
I am of the opinion that such acts of kindness need to be shared more and more so that they set a precedent for others as well. We often see companies posting huge revenue and profit numbers each year. However, most workers are not satisfied with the reward they get after putting in long hours. Such examples should inspire other business owners to do the same. This will certainly enhance the efficiency of work and keep the employees motivated.
