Priced at Rs 1,44,800 ex-showroom Delhi, Yamaha FZ-S Fi Becomes First Hybrid Motorcycle in 150cc Segment
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has introduced the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid, making it the first hybrid motorcycle in the 150cc category. Priced at INR 1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), this motorcycle might pave way for other models in the segment for hybrid technology adoption.
Yamaha FZ-S FI Gets Hybrid Technology
The FZ-S Fi Hybrid pairs Yamaha’s 149cc Blue Core engine with a hybrid system featuring a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS). This combination enables smoother engine starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine when idling. The bike also receives design enhancements, including a sharper tank cover and integrated front turn signals for improved aerodynamics. A new 4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster offers smartphone connectivity via the Y-Connect app, providing turn-by-turn navigation linked to Google Maps.
Yamaha has refined rider ergonomics with a repositioned handlebar and improved switch accessibility for ease of use, even with gloves. Additional features include an airplane-style fuel cap that stays attached during refueling for added convenience. The 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid is available in Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey, reflecting Yamaha’s commitment to innovative and practical solutions in the evolving motorcycle landscape.
