The special edition models of cars often attract more buyers since they get a relatively unique iteration, which makes them stand out from the crowd
In this post, we are taking a look at the details of the Honda Elevate Signature Black Edition. Elevate is a mid-size SUV which belongs to one of the most crowded categories in India. Hence, the challenge to attract the customers is massive. Also, to stand out from the rest of the competition, it is mandatory to offer something unique. Recognizing this, the Japanese carmaker equipped the Elevate with the best that it has at its disposal. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case here.
Honda Elevate Signature Black Edition
We got our hands on the Honda Elevate Signature Black Edition recently. At the front, it gets a lot of piano black elements including on the grille, around the headlamps and on the lower section of the bumper. That accentuates the road presence of the SUV considerably. Moving down the sides, you get 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black including the nuts, Signature badging on the fender, black roof rails, etc. Finally, the all-black look continues to the rear as well. This includes skid plates and all the other components which are otherwise finished in chrome.
Now, let us get inside the cabin which is evidently sporty due to the all-black theme. Hence, we get to witness the black dashboard with soft touch materials, black upholstery with black thread used for stitching, black door panels, etc. What complements this black shade is the ambient lighting which changes colours and patterns as per the user preference. Note that there are no additional features to this SUV. Only the colour combination is enough to elevate the cabin experience for a more sporty look.
Specs
As mentioned previously, the vehicle remains the same as the stock model even in terms of the specifications. Hence, it draws power from a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine which produces a healthy 121 PS and 145 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This is the same engine which the City has been using for the longest time. Performing the transmission duties is either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The claimed mileage figures are 15.31 km/l with the manual and 16.92 km/l with the CVT automatic. The prices range from Rs 11.69 lakh to Rs 16.73 lakh, ex-showroom. Also, the Signature Black Edition starts at Rs 15.71 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.93 lakh, ex-showroom since it is based on the top-of-the-line ZX variant.
