The mid-size premium sedan segment is quite competitive with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus
In this post, we are taking a look at the details of the Skoda Slavia in its base trim which has undergone a massive price cut. Slavia belongs to one of the most competitive spaces in the sedan category in India. In the last few years, the massive onslaught from the SUVs has resulted in shrinkage of the market for sedans. Also, the availability of SUVs at a lower price point today means that people get drawn towards them more easily. Still, cars like the Verna, City, Virtus and Slavia have carried on the appeal of sedans with new-age design, practicality, performance and features.
Skoda Slavia Gets Price Cut
This video stems from sansCARi sumit on YouTube. The host has the base model of the Skoda Slavia which now starts at an enticing Rs 10.34 lakh, ex-showroom in its Classic trim. That marks a Rs 35,000 price cut which is quite significant. What is even more impressive is the fact that the reduction of cost doesn’t come with any compromises with regard to in-cabin amenities. On the outside, it gets the sleek halogen headlamps and LED DRLs with a massive black grille in the middle and chrome frame around it. On the sides, you get 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, body-coloured ORVMs and Skoda badging on the fender. At the rear, the Slavia boasts elegant taillamps, traditional antenna and rear defogger.
On the inside, the Skoda Slavia base model gets most fundamental amenities to pamper the customers. The top highlights include two-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone colour theme, all four power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 4-speaker music system, steering-mounted controls with chrome, adjustable headrests for all seats, analogue instrument cluster with MID, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, compact infotainment display with smartphone connectivity, manual AC, reverse parking sensors, 6 airbags, traction control, 12V socket, textured dashboard, manual IRVM with day/night settings, vanity mirror for passenger, ABS with EBD and more. Clearly, the vehicle is well-kitted for the base trim.
