It is not often that we see a top cricketer getting involved in a roadside crash and a heated argument
In a latest viral video, former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid was seen in a slightly heated argument with an auto-rickshaw driver after a minor crash of his Hyundai Creta. We all know that Rahul Dravid is one of the biggest names in the world of cricket. Even though he retired from cricket over a decade ago, he still has ardent fans. Apart from that, he is still associated with the sport in the capacity of the former coach of the Indian cricket team. During his career, he was one of the most successful batsmen ever even when he was the coach of the Indian team, he led India to many victories including the recent 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Rahul Dravid’s Hyundai Creta Accident
This video stems from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. This channel features content around crashes of popular cars and their impact. On this occasion, a case has emerged from Cunningham Road in Bengaluru. The host of the video mentions that Rahul Dravid was travelling Indian Express Junction towards High Grounds when the incident occurred. Allegedly, the good rickshaw driver rammed into Dravid’s car from behind while it was stuck in traffic.
Thereafter, the batsman came out of the car and got involved in a bit of a heated exchange with the auto driver. The two were conversing in the local language which is why we were not able to understand what they were saying. In any case, it was clear that they were frustrated because of the incident. Finally, Dravid took down the driver’s number and went about his way. What matters is that no one was injured in this accident and the damage to the vehicle also looks minor.
My View
Minor collisions in heavy traffic are relatively common in our country. In big cities, some streets are so narrow and due to congestion, we witness such minor incidents on a daily basis. There isn’t much anyone can do about it apart from the fact that we can ensure safe driving. We must follow the traffic regulations vehemently and be vigilant at all times. That is the only way to safeguard our safety and the well-being of everyone around us.
