Tata Curvv is among the first coupe SUVs for the masses in India and sits between Nexon and Harrier in the lineup
In this accident, a Tata Curvv has sustained some damage. Curvv is a 5-star safety rated SUV at the Bharat NCAP. This is in line with most Tata cars on sale in India. Hence, they boast impressive safety ratings which is a huge factor among modern Indian customers. They value the safety ratings a lot. Generally, these ratings translate to real-life protection for the car and occupants rather well. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case here.
Tata Curvv Gets T-Boned
This video stems from aayush_singh_negi on Instagram. The visuals capture the SUV after the crash. As per the information being relayed by the host, the SUV was parked and the ignition was off. That is when some other car hit it from the side. Also, there was no one present inside the car. Obviously, the seatbelts were not fastened. Now, it is being said that the airbags didn’t deploy. Perhaps, since the electronics confirmed that there was no one in the car, the airbags remained close. However, there could be other reason too.
We can’t jump to conclusions just yet. In any case, the damage to the car is quite substantial. It is still not clear how this happened. Still, the side section is almost totally damaged. This includes both door panels including the rear bumper. The vehicle is in great condition from the front. Thankfully, the side pillars absorbed the impact nicely and didn’t bend. Therefore, even if there had been people inside the car, they would most likely have been safe.
