MG has been focusing heavily on EVs but it has also introduced its new flagship ICE vehicle for the Indian market
The MG Majestor has been revealed for our market at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. While it can be regarded as the facelift version of the Gloster, it will sit above it in the lineup. Majestor will be the top-of-the-line product from the Chinese-owned British car marque in India which will rival the mighty Toyota Fortuner. We have been spotting the heavily camouflaged SUV on our roads for a long time now. But the biggest event of the year in the automobile world seems like a great venue to reveal any new car. Let us take a look at the details of all that’s new with the Majestor.
MG Majestor Revealed at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025
The MG Majestor comes with tons of new-age design elements to set it apart from the Gloster. This includes a colossal grille section which bears black elements, a chrome belt on top of the grille which culminates into the sleek LED DRLs on the edge of the bonnet, vertical LED headlamps positioned on the extreme edges of the bumper, rugged skid plate section in the lower half which clarifies that it is meant as a tough SUV. On the sides, it gets massive 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps for easier ingress and egress characteristics, faux roof rails, black side pillars, chunky wheel arches with matte black claddings and a long wheelbase. At the rear, it gets a connected LED taillamp bar which covers the entire width of the boot lid, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a dual-exhaust setup with a sturdy and muscular skid plate underneath the bumper. Overall, the SUV looks premium and butch.
MG Majestor – Interior and Features
Now, since the windows of the new SUV were tinted, we were not able to get a glimpse inside the cabin. Still, since it will be the new flagship model from the British car marque, we can expect all the latest bells and whistles including tech and connectivity amenities. The top highlights could include:
- 12.3-inch Touchscreen Infotainment Display
- Digital Instrument Cluster
- All-Black Interior Theme
- Panoramic Sunroof
- Heater, Cooled and Massaging Driver’s Seat
- Powered Seats
- 3-zone Automatic Climate Control
- Wireless Charging
- 12-speaker Premium Audio System
- Electric Tailgate
- Level 2 ADAS
- 360-degree Camera
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
- Electronic Parking Brake
Specs
This is one area which could borrow elements from the Gloster. The Majestor will continue to draw power from a 2.0-litre diesel engine available in two configurations – single turbo and twin turbo. These result in 163 PS / 375 Nm and 218 PS / 480 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. Both these variants pair with anย 8-speed automatic transmission. Note that the higher trims also offer 4×4 capabilities, making the owners confident about taking it off-tarmac. I reckon the Majestor could solely be available in the higher state of tune.
