Tata Harrier petrol has been rumoured for a long time and we will see it at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
The latest spy video captures the new Tata Harrier petrol plying on the busy road before the official launch at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Note that the Harrier and Safari are the flagship products of the Indian automobile giant. They have been around for a while now with decent success. However, as the competition in this segment increases, it has become a compulsion to update the existing models with new amenities. As a consequence, we might see the Harrier with a turbo petrol engine to access a wider range of potential customers.
New Tata Harrier Petrol Testing
The specifics of this case stem from thecarguide01 on Instagram. Someone travelling behind the Harrier SUV has recorded the entire occurrence. As per the information in the video, this Harrier is being driven with some equipment in the back. I believe this is to record pollution levels along with other parameters needed by ARAI to rate cars. Also, this is generally done while testing a new powertrain. This leads us to believe that Tata Motors is testing the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine to make the Harrier available to those who want a petrol car. This could be the same mill which also powers the Curvv. However, it will be tuned differently which could take a toll on the mileage.
Apart from that, we will also most likely see the electric iteration of the Harrier and Safari SUVs at the auto expo. In fact, some reports state that we will encounter over 10 vehicles from Tata Motors at the event starting from January 17 to January 22, 2025. This even includes the new 2025 Tiago, Tiago EV, Tigor, Sierra EV, Safari EV, Harrier EV, etc. Therefore, Tata Motors fans can rejoice and get excited for things to come in the immediate future.

I shall bring you all the coverage from the biggest automobile event of the year.
