The e Vitara will be the first EV from the Japanese car marque ever and the debut is slated for unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara electric SUV has been teased ahead of its official debut. Note that it has already been unveiled by Suzuki in Milan, Italy a few weeks ago. However, we will set our eyes on it at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January 2025. The Japanese car marque will offer the electric SUV in global markets but the production will take place in India. That highlights the prowess of the Indian manufacturing industry where cars are exported to other markets. For now, let us take a look at the details of the EV.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Electric SUV Teased
Maruti Suzuki has officially shared an image of the EV. The silhouette captures a vague glimpse of the front fascia. That is a common theme among carmakers when they just wish to arouse the curiosity of car buyers. Nevertheless, we are able to see Y-shaped striking LED DRLs integrated inside the headlamp cluster. Apart from that, we also witness the contoured bonnet with a Suzuki logo in the centre. Suzuki says that the EV is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced safety features. These will be necessary to woo new customers.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara electric SUV will utilize the brand’s new HEARTECT-e platform with two battery pack options โ a 49 kWh or a 61 kWh. These will power electric motors to produce between 142 hp / 189 Nm to 172 hp / 189 Nm and 181 hp / 300 Nm (AWD) of peak power and torque, depending on the variant. Also, there will be options of choosing between a 2WD or a 4WD configuration. For the latter, the EVs will utilize Suzukiโs trademark ALLGRIP-e technology by distributing torque where it is needed the most. It boasts a ground clearance of 180 mm and weighs between 1,702 kg and 1,899 kg. Let us keep an eye out for more details.
