Indian customers only received the first-generation Honda Brio which was based on the first-gen Amaze in our market
The new gen Honda Amaze-based Brio has been visualized by a talented automobile artist. Brio was on sale in India only in its first-gen model from 2011 to 2018. In 2018, it received a second-generation avatar which never went on sale in our market due to low demand. Note that the Brio used to retail in many international markets including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Africa, etc. However, in the second-gen version, it was only available in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei. Now that the third-generation Amaze has been launched in India, an artist has come up with a virtual illustration of the Brio.
New Gen Honda Amaze-based Brio Imagined
This post stems from malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. It is clear that the front fascia has been inspired by the new Honda Amaze which, in turn, reflects the design philosophy of the City and Elevate. This includes a sleek LED headlamp cluster with integrated LED DRLs connected by a chrome strip and a huge radiator grille with a chrome frame. In the centre, there is a Honda logo. Down below, we see massive fog lamp housings and sporty elements on the bumper. This is in line with how the latest Honda Amaze looks.
On the sides, I really appreciate the elegant alloy wheels with chunky wheel arches and black side pillars. Interestingly, the rear door handles are positioned on the C-pillars while the door panels don’t bear any creases apart from a sharp shoulder line. However, the main attraction is at the rear where the boot compartment has been compressed into the hatchback. There is even a roof-mounted spoiler. Nevertheless, I would’ve liked to get an unobstructed view of the tail section to see the imagination of the artist.
My View
Digital artists have a knack for creating unimaginable iterations of popular cars. This represents their creativity, skill and vision. Even though there are currently no reports of Honda going for the new Brio for our market, this digital rendition certainly gives us an idea and a believable concept which could see the light of day. Let us keep an eye out for more details in this regard.
