Design and Dimensions
In terms of design, the inherent and fundamental distinction between the two cars becomes apparent. The Amaze bears the sedan body silhouette which has a City-like LED headlamp cluster which encapsulates LED DRLs at the front. Apart from that, these sleek light consoles wrap around a large radiator grille in between with chrome elements on the top and lower ends with the Honda logo in the centre. Going further down, we witness elegant fog lamp housings on the sporty bumper. The side profile contains City-inspired 15-inch alloy wheels, black B-pillars and relatively creaseless door panels. Finally, the tail end also bears a modern appearance. It gets a shark fin antenna, slim LED taillamps and a panel connecting them on either side. All in all, the new Honda Amaze certainly looks modern despite carrying the same silhouette as the outgoing trim.
On the other hand, the Hyundai Venue is a compact SUV with an upright and butch stance. The front fascia contains a mammoth grille section finished in dark chrome with a cascading effect flanked by slim LED DRLs on the end of the bonnet while the main headlamp cluster is located on the bumper. Accentuating the front profile is a sturdy skid plate section and black elements to demonstrate an imposing road presence. On the sides, we get to experience a sporty stance with attractive alloy wheels, chunky wheel arches, rugged side body cladding, black side pillars and roof rails. Completing the exterior description are connected LED taillamps which look attractive in the dark, a shark fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler, vertical reflector lights on the bumper and a skid plate underneath at the rear. Both these carry their appearance quite well.

My View
Choosing between these two compelling propositions can be quite confusing. Still, I believe there are specific strengths of each of these. For instance, if the latest tech, convenience and connectivity amenities are your priority, going for the Hyundai Venue makes a lot of sense. However, if you want a sedan with ADAS tech, the Amaze should be your pick. In any case, you can’t go wrong with either of these.
