Indian car buyers are notorious for heading to aftermarket car modification houses to alter the appearance of their vehicles completely
This has to be the first-ever Maruti Invicto converted into the Toyota Hycross. Indian car buyers are enthusiastic about getting their vehicles customized to make them look different from the crowd. In fact, sometimes they go so overboard that it becomes difficult to detect the donor model. This latest case is a perfect case in point. Hence, without any further ado, let us jump into the specifics of this extensive modification.
Maruti Invicto to Toyota Hycross Conversion
This post stems from Indian AutoZone on YouTube. The visuals capture a rather intriguing instance. A Maruti Invicto owner decided to convert the car into a Toyota Hycross. Note that these are, essentially, the same cars with a bit of tweaks to the design. This is a part of the joint venture between Suzuki and Toyota where they sell badge-engineered products of one another. As far as this model is concerned, the car shop owner describes the entire process. At the front, the Invicto gets a new bumper, grille, fog lamp and other elements of the Hycross. Note that only the LED headlamps of the Invicto remain intact. All other elements have been swapped.
A similar trend has been followed on the sides. This includes Hycross badges all over the body along with the Hycross projection underneath the ORVMs. Also, the alloy wheels are similar to the Hycross. At the rear, it gets connected LED taillamps with a black panel between them. The owner even went for added damping. On the inside, the car shop replaced the central part of the steering wheel including the airbag and logo. The seating layout has been made more comfortable with added cushioning and new seat covers. Finally, the new Sony sound system adds to the overall premium feel of the cabin.
My View
I must admit this is the first time I have come across a Maruti Invicto owner who has converted the car into a Toyota Hycross. Still, it represents just how capable our car houses have become in the last few years. However, I must urge our readers to confirm the procedure with regard to warranty and traffic rules if you decide to go for such extreme mods. You should ideally consult your local RTO before performing such customizations to your cars. I shall keep bringing more such cases for our readers in times to come.
