Unfortunately, with new cars come fresh cases of accidents which generally test the build quality in real-world instances
The first major crash of the new Mahindra Thar Roxx has surfaced online. Thar Roxx has become the safest SUV in the country based on the latest Bharat NCAP test results. That is a testament to the work Mahindra has done on the off-roader to make it ultra-safe for the occupants. Note that Thar Roxx is the 5-door iteration of the regular Thar. It has been redesigned thoroughly with a new platform, tweaked engines, new aesthetics and tons of convenience and safety features. In essence, it is a completely different car. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Mahindra Thar Roxx First Major Crash
The visuals come to us courtesy of safecars_india on Instagram. As per the information in the video, a man spotted an overturned Mahindra Thar Roxx in the middle of the highway during nighttime. He instantly took his phone out and captured the details. The visuals are quite shocking and clearly indicate that the SUV was at high speed. There is just so much damage to the body which can’t happen at low speeds. In fact, we see the front tyre out of the vehicle and the vehicle landing on the divider.
There are no details about the reason for this crash. Perhaps, it was a combination of low visibility and high speed due to which the driver must’ve lost control. In any case, the host of the video says that no one was seriously injured in this accident which is quite impressive and almost unbelievable. That is a testament to the build quality of the SUV even in extreme situations. We can only hope that such incidents don’t happen going forward.
My View
Overspeeding is the most common reason for road accidents in India. In fact, we lose lakhs of lives each year in road crashes. It is high time we start acknowledging traffic rules and driving within the speed limits. That is the only way to safeguard our roads. I would like to urge our readers to never get involved in overspeeding and even report the miscreants to the authorities who are flouting the regulations. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers.
