It is fascinating to see what the Indian roads can throw at you which is why they are some of the most dangerous and amusing in the world
In an absolutely bizarre turn of events, a video surfaced online which captured a motorcycle-powered Maruti WagonR. That looks as strange as it sounds. Indians are famous for something known as ‘jugaad’. It is the ability to create something useful out of nothing without exhausting resources. With the things available at their disposal, they are able to come up with makeshift items. This latest case is a perfect example of that. Let us delve into the specifics of this instance.
Motorcycle-powered Maruti WagonR
The details of this case come to us courtesy of mrkasganjhacker895425 on Instagram. The visuals showcase this unique WagonR in action. The man has installed an entire motorcycle inside the car at the rear. He has taken the seats out and placed a motorcycle inside the hatchback. Thereafter, he connected the engine of the motorcycle with the tyre of the WagonR via a belt. As a result, as the bike’s engine works, it rotates the belt, which moves the wheels of the WagonR. This is how the man is able to drive the WagonR.
Now, since it is not easy to pack a motorbike inside a car, the rear doors have been removed. To still make some sort of safety measure, there is a chunk of metal welded into the gap. Even though it is not clearly visible, I believe the tailgate has also been taken off. That is where the bike could be brought in or taken out from. What is impressive is that the video claims that this motorcycle-powered Maruti WagonR is now capable of offering a mileage of 50 kmpl. We are not sure how true that is. I suppose it is possible since the car is being driven by the bike.
My View
I must accept that such creative projects excite and impress me in equal measure. Sure, these are not some of the safest vehicles to be driven around on the roads. Still, for remote parts of the country, these could work perfectly well. Not to mention, these incidents denote the talent, skills and vision of our people. Hence, I would keep bringing more such cases to our readers.
