Indian roads are full of incredibly dumb drivers who often cause issues to their vehicles or themselves
In this latest post, a Mahindra Thar driver was seen performing stupid stunts with his SUV by crossing a river multiple times. We have seen Thar owners attempt useless stunts for no reason at all. Many people simply get involved in such activities just because of the fact that they own an off-roading SUV. Needless to say, it is natural that they will land in trouble someday. That is exactly what happened here. Let us delve into the specifics of this recent case.
Mahindra Thar Driver Gets Stuck While Crossing River
The details of this case stem from safecars_india on Instagram. The visuals showcase the entire turn of events. As per the information in this description, this incident took place somewhere in the Hurlung River in Jamshedpur during Durga Puja. Reportedly, 4 persons were in the Thar when they were crossing the river again and again. In the third attempt, they decided to test the limits of the SUV by going to a slightly deeper part of the river. That is where things went horribly wrong.
The vehicle got stalled in the middle of the water body. As a result, it started to sink into the river. The onlookers rushed to the scene and evacuated three persons. Funnily enough, the fourth person asked the people to rescue the Thar first. Obviously, this stupid request was pointless in a situation which was swiftly turning fatal. The video ended abruptly. At this time, the driver was still inside the car as he refused to get out without the car. Perhaps, he was still trying to start the SUV. In any case, this has to be one of the most stupid incidents I have come across in a while.
My View
It is unfortunate to see some Mahindra Thar owners feeling indestructible while driving the SUV. They take unnecessary risks, putting their own lives, as well as in some cases, the lives of others in danger just to have some ‘fun’. It is high time we start taking road and vehicle safety seriously. We lose lakhs of lives each year in road accidents. Most of these take place when the drivers flout the protocols or conduct mindless activities. If you find such miscreants endangering the lives of people, make sure to report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
