It is incredible to see how car modification enthusiasts end up altering the very nature of vehicles
In this latest rendition, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been slapped with hardcore modifications including a widebody kit. Ioniq 5 is an electric crossover which has gained immense prominence across various international markets within a short span of time. In fact, it has been awarded with the prestigious accolade of World Car of the Year by an esteemed jury and automobile media professionals. As a result, it has done incredibly well on the sales charts in many global markets including India. Hence, let us grab this opportunity to look at it in a different light altogether.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 with Widebody Kit
The specifics of this case stem from indocarstufff on Instagram. The visuals capture the Indonesian model plying on the road with all sorts of customizations. This includes a massive widebody kit which covers the front fascia, the side skirtings and the rear section. In essence, it lends a sporty appeal to the EV with a bagged-type stance. This is not something we have seen in real life with electric cars. Apart from that, the front section looks aggressive with all the added elements.
Also, the side section depicts the low ground clearance and an added fender component which accentuates its road presence. In fact, the rear third quarter is my favourite bit of this uniquely modified Hyundai Ioniq 5. The muscular elements integrate well with the sharp creases on the side door panels. At the rear, the massive spoiler and a huge bumper completely set it apart from the crowd and make it look imposing. All in all, this has to be the most heavily customized Hyundai Ioniq 5 I have come across to date.
My View
Now, I have reported innumerable instances of hardcore aftermarket car modifications. They often pick popular products to demonstrate their creativity. This is a perfect example of that skill and talent. I would like to highlight the fact that even though most car modifications are illegal in our country, this is not the case in most international markets. There, car shops are able to transform any vehicle into just about anything the owners wish. I would love to cover more such cases in times to come.
