After the launch of the new generation Maruti Swift, the Dzire counterpart was expected for a long time
The latest spy images of the new generation Maruti Dzire showcase its interior layout. Dzire is the most successful compact sedan in the country. It has been a favourite among private, as well as commercial buyers for years now. In fact, it will now arrive in its fourth-generation avatar. However, unlike all the previous-gen models, this time around, the Indo-Japanese car marque will differentiate it from the Swift significantly. Until now, the exterior and interior were almost entirely similar. The next-gen model will bear aesthetic alterations on the outside and inside.
New Generation Maruti Dzire Interior Leaked
This video comes from Anurag Choudhary on YouTube. The host showcases spy images of the interior of the upcoming sedan. A large section of the cabin is inspired by the new Swift. Still, it will be a departure from the existing model. We are able to see a flat-bottom steering wheel with multimedia controls, semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-tone dashboard, a free-standing infotainment display, textured door panels, new toggle switches to operate HVAC, an electric sunroof, smartphone connectivity, premium audio system, wireless charging, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, rear AC vents, USB ports, rear armrest with cup holders, etc.
Apart from that, the exterior appearance will be considerably distinct in comparison to the new Swift. At the front, the new Dzire will get a new fascia with sleek LED headlamps, a slim grille and a sporty bumper. Similarly, the tail section will have a chrome belt connecting the LED taillamps. Finally, the side profile will bear new alloy wheels. In terms of specifications, I expect it will carry on with the same powertrain as the new Swift. This means a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol mill with a mild hybrid system to generate a decent 82 PS and 112 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. This engine will pair with a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox.

My View
The new generation Maruti Dzire will mark the first occasion where the design cue takes a different route from the Swift. However, the features and powertrain will most likely be similar. Hence, we have a fair idea of what it will look like and which features it will bear. It remains to be seen how well customers embrace the new Dzire. I shall keep an eye out for details as the launch nears.
