New Bajaj Pulsar N125 vs Pulsar 150 – Specs Comparison
The new Bajaj Pulsar N125 comes with a fresh 124.59-cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine which makes a decent 12 PS (8.82 kW) @8,500 RPM and 11 Nm @6,000 RPM of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties is a 5-speed gearbox which enables a segment-leading 0-60 km/h acceleration figure. To take care of the braking power, it gets a 240 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear. Note that it gets CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard. Also, the front tyre is 17 inches with an 80/100 section, while the rear tyre is also 17 inches with a 110/80 section. You will be able to glide over just about any road surface with a healthy ground clearance of 198 mm. Finally, the bike has a 125 mm telescopic front suspension and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
On the other hand, the Pulsar 150 naturally gets a larger engine. It is a 149.5-cc twin-spark DTS-i FI engine which produces a cool 14 PS (10.3 kW) @8,500 RPM and 13.25 Nm @6,500 RPM of maximum power and torque. This engine pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel tank capacity is 15 litres. It gets 17-inch wheels with a 90/90 section front tyre and 120/80 section rear tyre. Furthermore, the front has a 37 mm telescopic conventional fork and the rear has twin shock absorbers with a gas-filled Canister. My View
Choosing between these two compelling products can be quite confusing. On top of that, these belong to the same bike manufacturer. Hence, you just need to analyse your needs from a motorcycle. If you have a relatively flexible budget and want a decent performance from your bike in addition to the latest tech and connectivity features, opting for the Bajaj Pulsar 150 makes a lot of sense. It strikes a great balance between performance, styling, features and price. On the other hand, if you are on a strict budget and want a bike just to commute from point A to point B with minimal running costs, the new Bajaj Pulsar N125 will do the job just fine. I would suggest you visit your nearest Bajaj showroom and experience the two in the flesh.
