Ola Electric is not having a great time in the market as its electric scooter owners express their issues with the service centres
The latest complaint from an Ola scooter user has even dragged comedian Kunal Kamra into the mix. Note that Kunal Kamra and Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal have been having an online tussle for quite some time. The former tweeted about the condition of Ola service centres because of which Ola electric scooter owners are having to face difficulties. We have seen images of hundreds of Ola scooters parked outside a service centre of Ola for repair or service. Clearly, the queue is so long that the waiting periods are beyond reasonable. Here are the details of the latest incident.

A certain R.J KASHYAP took to X to express his concerns regarding the Ola scooter service experience. He wrote, “@kunalkamra88 ola has now recruited about 5-6 BOUNCERS at every service centre…I have just visited at my near by ola service centre and watched all the bouncers were there arguing with ola customer even with the female customers..so this is the kind of service we r gonna have.” Clearly, he tagged Kunal Kamra due to the fact that the latter has been in banter with the Ola CEO recently.
The man says that to deal with the enraged customers, Ola service centres have hired bouncers. That is a serious accusation. To this, Kunal Kamra replied, “Please can a journalist fact-check this. If true this is truly unique – Sales team for sales & Bouncers for after sales.” The situation is certainly getting out of hand for Ola to handle. It is high time the CEO takes cognizance of the matter and does the needful. In fact, he has been promising solutions for a while now. Unfortunately, things don’t seem any better on the ground at the moment.
My View
I would not like to jump to any conclusions before knowing the full story. However, I have been witnessing more and more customers complain about the struggles they are facing with getting their EVs serviced or repaired. The quality issues have always plagued the electric two-wheeler startup for a while now. I can only hope that things get better from here on. Also, I would advise our readers to do their due diligence before believing anything that is there online. Let us see how things pan out in this regard in times to come.
