Aftermarket car modification houses have become increasingly popular in today’s day and age where car owners want their vehicles to look unique
An old Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 has been converted into the latest LC300 in this latest case. Aftermarket car shops have gained popularity in the last few years as more and more car owners approach them to make their automobiles look unique and different from the crowd. With the increased accessibility of spare parts and ideas, professional car mechanics are able to alter the very identity of any vehicle these days. Car owners get the appearance of a much more premium car without having to spend all that money. Hence, it is a win-win situation for everyone. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Old Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 Converted to LC300 – Video
The details of this case stem from BROTOMOTIV on YouTube. It is a prominent car shop which undertakes various car detailing, restoration and modification activities. On this occasion, the team has an old Toyota Land Cruiser LC200. The owner of this luxury SUV loves it and wants to update its aesthetics instead of spending over Rs 2.50 Crore for the new LC300. The mechanics dismantle the entire SUV to begin with. This includes door panels, roof liner, headlamp, bumper, lights, etc. Firstly, the team evens out most minor dents and performs small repair work. Thereafter, they prepare the car for paint.
For this, multiple layers are applied to give that OEM finish. Not just that, the car modification house even applies scratch-resistant, heat-resistant and water-repellent Graphene Coating to protect the exterior of the car for a long time. To convert it to the latest LC300 trim, they use an imported kit which consists of the bonnet, fenders, fog lamps, bumpers, mirror cap, claddings, headlights, body panels, and taillamps. After working meticulously, they install all these parts on the old LC200. The result is truly impressive. One can barely make out the original vehicle. That is a testament to the professional work, as well as the ease of getting access to high-quality body kits.
My View
It is becoming common these days to get a vehicle converted into an entirely new car or an updated version of that old car. People head to expert aftermarket car modification houses to make it happen. I would suggest that our readers only go to professionals and not to some roadside mechanic because even though there won’t be any issues initially, low-quality and cheap work will definitely trouble you in the long run. Apart from that, I would also like to urge our readers to consult your local RTO prior to customizing your car since most car modifications are illegal in India. After talking to them, you can know which customizations are allowed.
