The 5-door iteration of the Mahindra Thar was launched in August and the bookings opened at 11 am today
The bookings for the Mahindra Thar Roxx have broken all records. Mahindra announced that just within the first hour, it received a whopping 1,76,218 bookings for the 5-door off-roading machine. That is a testament to how well people have embraced it. Thar is the most successful off-roading moniker in the country. It has been around since 2010. However, this is the first time in its lifecycle that it is available in a 5-door guise. The aim is to offer a more practical iteration of the hardcore 3-door Thar without compromising the adventurous traits. Nevertheless, Mahindra has gone one step far by launching the Thar Roxx with loads of customizations including safety, features and mechanicals. Let us delve deep into how to pre-order one.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Bookings Open
In order to book the adventurous 5-door off-roader, you need to visit the Mahindra website. You will be prompted to register your interest by giving your mobile number. After getting the OTP, you can choose the model you wish to go for along with the prices. After making the payment of the token amount, you will get a tentative delivery date. Note that the deliveries are slated to commence from October 12, 2024. The prices of all the variants are as follows:

Mahindra Thar Roxx is available with an all-new M_GLYDE platform and two powertrain options along with manual and automatic transmissions and RWD and 4×4 configurations. Hence, all kinds of buyers will have something as per their needs. Under its tall hood sits a 2.0-litre mStallion direct injection turbo petrol mill which produces 162 PS / 330 Nm with the 6-speed manual and 177 PS / 380 Nm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, OR a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine which generates a healthy 152 PS / 330 Nm with the 6-speed manual or 175 PS / 370 Nm of peak power and torque with the 6-speed automatic. Note that only the MX5, AX5L and AX7L trims of the diesel lineup are available with the 4×4 drivetrain.
