A test mule of BMW’s range-topping 4×4 SUV, the 2018 BMW X7 was spied parked in Munich, Germany. The heavily camouflaged beast of an SUV will enter the assembly lines exclusively in the company’s Spartanburg, South Carolina plant in USA. Though the spied prototype resembles a BMW X5, we expect it to cross the 5 meter mark judging by the wheelbase. The extended rear overhang will provide a real 3rd row with seating for 7 without compromising on the luggage space.

Although the company announced their plans to expand the plant capacity, workforce, and a mammoth investment of $1 Billion (Rs. 6000+ Crore ) to fuel skyrocketing demand for its products, the X7 is not expected to roll out until later in 2017. Frankly speaking, with models like the new X4, X6, X5M, X6M already in the pipeline, BMW has a lot on its plate.
The behemoth of a luxury SUV will be built on the new platform which the company recently announced and will rival the Audi Q7 and the Mercedes-Benz GL class. BMW aims to tap into the markets like, the US, Russia, China and India which have recently seen a tremendous surge in luxury SUV population on roads.
