It is reported that Bajaj is working on a facelift for the Pulsar 150; the Pulsar 150 was the first bike to make the premium commuter bike segment attractive to customers. The blend of value, relatively higher performance and handling, and better build quality made it a best seller pretty soon. The least time that the Pulsar 150 received an update was sometime in 2005 where it received a re-tuned engine, better styling and some new equipment. The Pulsar range has since grown tremendously, the current stalwart of the range being the Pulsar 200 NS. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 facelift, along with getting a cosmetic update, will be tuned to handle better; the curent bike can get a bit bouncy on uneven roads thanks to its soft suspension and long-wheelbase.
Price
The bike is not expected to be priced around the same price-band as the current model. Expect it to be priced at around Rs. 70,000.
What’s New?
As we mentioned above, the Bajaj Pulsar facelift will look significantly different from the current model It could get styling updates from the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS or the Bajaj Pulsar CS showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. It is also being reported that the new Pulsar 150 will have it’s suspension re-tuned for better handling, which would make it an attractive choice for customers who want an affordable but sporty bike. This move comes after giving the Discover range of bikes an update recently, with the latest launch being the Discover 100M and 125M.
