Horrific incidents involving youngsters are getting more and more common these days.
In a horrific turn of events, a minor driving a Maruti Ciaz crashes the car at high speed after bunking the school. This is yet another case of a foolish young mind at work. We lose lakhs of lives on our roads each year. Most car crashes take place due to the negligence of the drivers and the refusal to comply with traffic norms. Apart from that, we often see minors, who are not eligible to drive, take the steering wheel and wreak havoc due to their lack of maturity. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Minor Crashes Maruti Ciaz
This video arrives from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel often features content around the performance of cars in unfortunate scenarios. On this occasion, a case emerged from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As per the information in the video, a minor was travelling in his Ciaz with his girlfriend at high speed. Suddenly, for some reason, he lost control and the vehicle skidded off the surface. Unfortunately, a woman was riding a scooter from the opposite side with her daughter in the pillion seat. Tragically, the Ciaz ended up hitting the scooter with full force.
The impact was so severe that the woman died on the spot. Her daughter is being treated at a nearby hospital but her condition is critical. The entire incident has been recorded on CCTV. Reportedly, the car came to a halt after hitting a tree. The side section of the car bears the dents and deformation due to the collision. The scooter is completely destroyed. We hope that the Police and the judicial system take cognizance of the matter and appropriate action is taken against the culprit.
Our View
It is high time we start taking road regulations seriously. I have reported countless cases of youngsters driving at high speed and causing injury or worse to others. I must also highlight the importance of the role the parents play in such situations. We know that it is illegal for minors to drive vehicles in India. Therefore, strict action must be taken against the minor to set an example. I shall keep an eye out for more details on this case in times to come.
