The coupe SUV is slated for launch on August 7 in the electric guise with the petrol and diesel avatars to follow in subsequent weeks.
The soon-to-be-launched Tata Curvv has officially been teased yet again. Tata Motors aims to democratize the coupe silhouette among the masses. Until now, we connect this body type to just high-end luxury vehicles. However, with the Curvv, the mass market is about to get exciting. People looking for a vehicle with a distinct road presence will definitely appreciate the Curvv. What’s more important is the fact that it will be available in electric, petrol and diesel avatars. That will further enhance its accessibility and appeal. Let us take a look at the details here.
Tata Curvv Teased – Specs
The Curvv will offer multiple powertrain options including electric, petrol and diesel. In the electric version, it could borrow the battery packs and electric motors from the Nexon EV. On the other hand, the petrol and diesel mills will also be borrowed from Nexon. But there will be the addition of one more petrol engine (tweaked version of the turbo petrol found in Nexon) which will be good for 125 hp and 225 Nm of peak power and torque. The other two engines will be the 1.2-litre turbo petrol (same as Nexon) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (same as Nexon). One will get to choose from manual and automatic transmissions.

Therefore, we can expect a price tag of anywhere between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Curvv EV could range from Rs 16 lakh to Rs 22 lakh, ex-showroom.

Design
The main highlight of the Tata Curvv has to be its design. Starting with the side profile, the sloping roofline is the prime attraction which culminates into the extended bootlid. In addition, the prominent wheel arches with black cladding, black side pillars, stylish aero alloy wheels and rugged side skirting elevate the rugged nature. The front section is dominated by the connected LED light bar with LED DRLs on either side while the main headlamp cluster is positioned on the extreme edges of the bumper. There are slight tweaks to the design to differentiate between the ICE and EV variants. The tail section also bears a connected LED unit which accentuates the extended bootlid. In essence, you won’t find anything like it on the road.
