The upcoming coupe SUV from Tata Motors will come all guns blazing with tons of modern amenities, a distinct silhouette, multiple powertrains and a safe cabin.
The Tata CURVV Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP safety ratings have been leaked online. As per a report by Carwale, the coupe SUV has bagged a full 5-star safety rating at the Global and Bharat NCAP. We know that Tata Motors takes safety ratings very seriously. It offers a slew of 5-star and 4-star safety-rated cars irrespective of the segment. In fact, the micro SUV, Punch, already boasts a full 5-star rating and so do the flagship SUVs, Harrier and Safari. Hence, there is no reason to believe that the CURVV will not offer top-notch safety prowess since it is a derivative of the Nexon (also 5-star). I reckon the NCAP score will be valid for both CURVV and CURVV EV.
Tata CURVV Global and Bharat NCAP
I must mention here that even though these reports have been leaked on the internet, there are no official announcements from Tata Motors just yet. Hence, we must keep this in mind. Still, I feel like it is just a matter of time that this report will be validated. The Indian auto giant knows how to manufacture 5-star-rated cars. Its entire portfolio is full of such vehicles. The absolute top models on the 5-star list include Punch, Nexon, Altroz, Harrier and Safari. The entry-level Tiago and Tigor bagged 4 stars at the Global NCAP (old testing protocol). Hence, the CURVV will most likely carry forward that legacy.

Our View
I believe safety is becoming increasingly important for modern customers. Gone are the days when people would buy cars just for mileage. Modern consumers make sure to check the safety ratings of cars along with the latest tech and convenience amenities. In fact, we must credit Tata Motors for making safety ratings mainstream with the Nexon in 2018. Ever since then, it has been churning vehicle after vehicle with such safety prowess. Other carmakers have followed that trend and today we have numerous 5-star rated cars in our market. Going forward, it will, sort of, become a norm to have cars with high ratings.
