In a rather interesting turn of events, a digital artist has constructed a Toyota Innova Hycross facelift in the virtual realm. Innova is an iconic name in the Indian automobile industry. It has been the most successful MPV in our market for the longest time. Leveraging the power and popularity of the Innova moniker, the Japanese carmaker launched an SUV-ish iteration called the Hycross a couple of years ago. The aim is to expand its footprint while staying in touch with the success of Innova. Now that the Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is due, virtual renditions are surfacing.

This post stems from malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. It captures the details of the Innova Hycross facelift. Reading the description of this post informs us how the idea came into being. The artist took inspiration from the Toyota Corolla Cross. They superimposed the fascia onto the Hycross along with minor tweaks. This is the Hycross equivalent in Thailand. At the front, the LED headlamps flank the sleek grille section with a large radiator grille down below. Apart from that, the rugged skid plate accentuates the adventurous traits of the vehicle. I particularly like the horizontal LED DRLs mounted on the extreme edges of the bumper.
Moving down the sides, we are able to witness stylish alloy wheels filling the wheel arches neatly. Also, the side body panels feature silver cladding and the B and C pillars are finished in matte black theme. Even the ORVMs are black with integrated LED turn indicators. Even though the rear profile is not visible, the wrap-around taillamp effect is evident. All in all, the Toyota Innova Hycross facelift might borrow some elements from something like this concept.

I appreciate the creativity digital artists display in the virtual realm. These give us an opportunity to experience ‘regular’ cars in different avatars.
