In the latest video, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift was spotted with new LED DRLs and taillamps. Note that the Alcazar is the elongated 7-seater version of the Creta. The Creta has been updated for the Indian market a few months ago. However, the Alcazar is still not available in the new guise. Alcazar leverages the popularity and success of the Creta in our market. Creta is the highest-selling mid-size SUV. Hence, the Korean giant offered it in a 7-seat configuration. People responded well to the Alcazar. Now, the time to launch the facelift version of the Alcazar has come. Here are the details.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Spied
This video captures the details of the 7-seat SUV. The partially camouflaged Alcazar looks sporty in the maroon paint shade. Despite the camo, one can infer a lot of details from these visuals. To begin with, the alloy wheels at the rear look sporty and elegant. There are rugged side body claddings and functional roof rails. They enhance the overall demeanour of the SUV. The maroon colour looks sporty along with black elements. It gets chunky wheel arches. Moving to the front reveals some details about the design layout.
Even though the grille area is wrapped under a black covering, the LED DRLs are visible. The Hyundai Alcazar facelift gets sleek LED DRL units on the bumper with an additional set of lights on the bumper. It is possible that the main headlamp cluster will be positioned in the lower part, as is the trend these days. In fact, I can already see the inspiration from the existing Creta. That is expected since even the pre-facelift model bore the same front fascia as the Creta barring a few tiny components. All in all, it will be interesting to see how much the Alcazar inherits from the latest Creta.
Specs
In terms of specifications, again, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift will borrow the powertrains from the Creta. Therefore, we could look at the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbo diesel mill. These produce 160 PS / 253 Nm and 116 PS / 250 Nm of peak power and torque. Complimenting this engine will manual, as well as automatic transmission. Therefore, the buyers will be able to choose from any combination as per their requirements. At present, the Alcazar retails from Rs 16.77 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift will bear some premium over these.
