Our View
I was surprised to see the Kia Carens safety rating in AOP category. Remember, the previous model has bagged a decent 3-star safety score at the Global NCAP back in 2022. With stricter-becoming crash test procedures, it is common for a vehicle to lose points. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the vehicle has gotten any weaker. Hence, I would advise our readers to take these ratings with a pinch of salt. In fact, the facelift model is about to launch soon. I believe that the Korean auto giant will work on this aspect to ensure a better rating next time. We shall have to wait for the facelift version to undergo this crash test before jumping to any conclusions.
