This DC2 Sielo has been inspired by the iconic Mahindra Thar. However, DC2 Design is one of the biggest car modification houses in the country. It has been around for many years now. The founder, Dilip Chhabria, is an automobile designer. His company has been performing extreme customizations on all sorts of cars for a long time now. These range from absolute budget cars to premium high-end luxury automobiles. The design house is capable of transforming any car into just about any other vehicle. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case here.
DC2 Sielo Based on Mahindra Thar
These images stem from dc2dilipchhabria on Instagram. The visuals capture the design details of this unique product. In all honesty, it is nigh impossible to determine the donor model of this concept. At the front, it gets an aggressive fascia which seems inspired by a sci-fi movie. The LED headlamps are almost concealed in the design pattern and there is an attractive grille section which looks unlike anything else. There is also a sturdy skid plate at the front along with a colossal fender. Somehow the appearance showcases the colossal tyres from the front.
The curvaceous hood is quite attractive and is totally opposite of this DC2 Sielo butch Mahindra Thar. On the sides, it gets a two-door setup. There are air intakes on the side fender and a sculpted side profile. It looks like the roof is made up of glass, something we have seen in modern premium EVs. The roof flows toward the tail section which culminates into an integrated rear spoiler. The boot section is extremely sporty and unlike any production car. There is barely any bumper element and the rear tyres are exposed. The design of the alloy wheels oozes sportiness. All in all, this has to be the most unrecognizable version of the Thar ever.
Our View
DC2 creates some of the most compelling iterations of cars. The vision and talent of the team is unparalleled. This is a prime example of that. I am not sure how many other designers would’ve visualized something like this when they looked at the Mahindra Thar. Hence, I commend the creativity, imagination and implementation of the design house. However, I must also caution our readers against aftermarket car modifications. Most of these are illegal and the traffic Police can stop and fine you. Therefore, you must consult your local RTO regarding the legalities of such customizations.
