This DC2 Toyota Hycross is perfectly capable of putting even the iconic Mercedes V-Class MPV to shame. DC2 is arguably the most renowned aftermarket car modification house in India. It transforms vehicles ranging from budget hatchbacks to premium cars. DC2 is owned by Dilip Chhabria. He is an automotive designer and had completed his studies from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, U.S. Over the years, we have seen countless DC iterations of various vehicles. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest Toyota Hycross.
DC2 Toyota Hycross
This post stems from dc2dilipchhabria on Instagram. The video commences by showcasing brand-new door panels. As one enters inside this heavily customized Toyota Innova Hycross, a whole new world of premium amenities awaits. The roof of this Hycross has concealed lighting which illuminates the cabin along with LED focus lights at the centre. The seats have been thoroughly modified with new materials and added functions to pamper the occupants including reclining backrests and thigh support. The door panels now contain retractable storage spaces which are operated electronically. There are tons of chrome elements inside the cabin along with ambient mood lighting.
What takes things to the next level is a drop-down 43-inch Smart TV to take care of the entertainment needs of the passengers. To enhance the privacy of the occupants, there are powered drapes and wireless charging integrated inside the door panels. For the rear passengers, there are fold-out trays which can be used as a table to keep food or gadgets. The video also showcases a 7-litre chiller to keep the beverages cool during hot summer days. All things considered, I believe this has to be among the best-equipped aftermarket MPVs I have come across in a long time.
Our View
People have been heading to aftermarket car shops increasingly in the last few years. These car shops have become so popular and professional, that they are able to convert any vehicle into just about any other car. DC2 is already a successful player in our country. Hence, if you really want professional customization, it is a great place to be. However, you must remember that most car modifications are illegal in India. That is primarily applicable to the exterior. Still, it is best if you consult your local RTO before going for any customization for your car. That could save you a lot of trouble later on.
