A professional aftermarket car modification house has come up with a rather impressive gold-wrapped Mahindra Scorpio N. I have reported countless instances of car shops with unique ideas to make a car look unlike anything else on the roads. That is the requirement of the owners. However, I must also mention here that most car modifications are illegal in India. Hence, you must be vigilant enough to know what is allowed as per the law. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
India’s First-Ever Gold-Wrapped Mahindra Scorpio N
The details of this gold-wrapped Mahindra Scorpio N emerge from tfl_customs on Instagram. The visuals capture the gold-wrapped SUV plying on the roads. What I find particularly intriguing is the fact that the car shop professionals have even wrapped the roof rails, door handles, bumpers, and spokes of the alloy wheels. Generally, these components are kept as it is. Only the metallic body wears the wrap. This Scorpio N has black side pillars which compliment the gold wrap really well. The entire gold body sets it apart from the other wrapped vehicles out there.
Specs
The Mahindra Scorpio N comes with two powertrain options in three states of tune. There is a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol mill which churns out a massive 200 PS and 380 Nm of peak power and torque. On the other hand, the 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel mill produces 132 PS / 300 Nm or 175 PS / 400 Nm of peak power and torque, depending on the variant. One can choose between either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission. Being a true off-roader, the Scorpio N gets a hardcore 4XPLOR 4ร4 drivetrain. Its prices range from Rs 13.60 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh, ex-showroom.

Our View
Indian car owners are getting increasingly particular about the modifications on their cars. While most car modifications are illegal in our country, with the permission of the authorities, you can get the colour of your car changed. That is where wraps come into the picture. People opt for ostentatious wraps to make their vehicles stand out from the crowd. I would just like to consult your local RTO regarding the laws pertaining to applying wraps of new colours on your cars.
