New Maruti Swift
Maruti Swift, easily among the most successful B-hatchbacks ever, will soon receive a generation change. The new model, whose bookings are underway for Rs 11,000, will go on sale on May 9. The next-gen Swift sports an evolved design. It even features an 82 PS-112 Nm all-new Z-series engine that makes the car more frugal. Other than this, it even offers a more comprehensive safety pack with standard 6 airbags. For now, it’s unclear if India would get a hybrid option right from the onset.

Tata Nexon iCNG
While the Tata Nexon is already available in petrol, diesel and EV variants, a CNG model has been conspicuous by its absence. Soon, though, this won’t be the case. In fact, the iCNG version has already made its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo held earlier this year. The launch of the CNG version will further widen the appeal of the B-SUV. At the moment, it’s only the Maruti Brezza that’s available with the CNG option. The only little exception here are the Fronx and Taisor, both of which get the CNG option. However, the Baleno-based offerings aren’t direct rivals of the Brezza.

5-Door Force Gurkha
The 5-door Force Gurkha was revealed last month, while it will formally launch in early May. The new version will step into the market with the MY2024 3-door version, which gets some updates. Other than improvements in styling and a longer wheelbase to accommodate the 5-door layout, the new SUV will get more features. Powering the off-roader is a 2.6-litre diesel engine that offers 140 PS and 320 Nm.

Tata Altroz Racer
First seen at the Auto Expo 2023, the Tata Altroz Racer will finally launch this month. The special variant features a dual-tone paint scheme, new grille, and interior accents. The Racer Edition gets its juice from a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that outputs 118 bhp and 170 Nm. While the new model will likely cost a tad more than the regular version, it should appeal to those hoping to spruce up their Altroz without taking the aftermarket route.

New Porsche Panamera
The new Porsche Panamera is merely a day away from entering the market. That said, the car made its India debut back in November. Now, though, it will officially go on sale for Rs 1.68 crore (ex-showroom). The coupe-sedan boasts an evolutionary design with subtle-yet-effective tweaks. Powering the entry-level variant is a 2.9-liter V6 turbo-petrol engine that works in tandem with an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. This powertrain outputs 350 PS and 500 Nm. This is an improvement of 20 PS and 50 Nm over the predecessor. The car can hit 100 km/h from 0 in just 5.1 seconds and clock a top speed of 272 kmph.
