This is a huge accolade since competition in this segment is at an all-time high.
Honda Elevate has been adjudged the VFM Car of the Year 2023 by CarBlogIndia. We hold this award ceremony every year to recognize distinguished products in specific categories. The mid-size SUV segment has been expanding for the last few years with products from almost all significant carmakers in India. This category is for those looking to upgrade to an urban SUV from a hatchback but don’t wish to go all out on a large SUV. Elevate is the latest entrant into this already popular segment. But with its value-for-money proposition, it has wooed new customers despite stiff competition from its rivals.

Honda Elevate Becomes CarBlogIndia’s VFM Car of the Year 2023
There were compelling contenders for this category as the Indian automobile market saw many new launches in 2023. Hence, shortlisting a few was a daunting task. But with meticulous efforts, we were able to declare the Honda Elevate the winner of this segment. We found that the Elevate variant lineup is pretty well-spaced out. There are enough models in the range to fulfil the needs of just about any customer. Also, the prices range from Rs 11.69 lakh to Rs 16.51 lakh, ex-showroom. In comparison, some of the rivals have ex-showroom prices exceeding Rs 20 lakh. Sure, they offer some dedicated performance powertrains. But we felt that this price range is ideal for customers looking for an urban mid-size SUV.
Moreover, the naturally aspirated petrol engine of the Honda Elevate offers a high power output compared to the other NA petrol SUVs in this space, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara. Hence, it is a distinct advantage. Furthermore, Honda Elevate offers ADAS active safety features at this price point. The ADAS models of the rivals cost much more. People are actively wanting to own cars with active safety features but are often put off by the exorbitant price tags of the trims which offer ADAS. Finally, the mid-size is full of the latest tech and convenience amenities to pamper the owners. All these aspects contribute towards making the Elevate our pick for the most value-for-money vehicle crown.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd, said, “The Honda Elevate launch was an important launch of 2023 as it marked Honda’s entry into the dominant SUV segment in the country. There are already about 35,000 customers who have bought the Elevate in India and it has been appreciated for its driving dynamics, bold design, space and comfort. Most importantly the Elevate has become the preferred choice of customers due to its strong value offering across all variants. This recognition sums up our effort towards delivering perfect blend of quality and a true value for money proposition. This motivates us to continue striving for excellence. Thankyou Car Blog India team for the honour.”
