The specs of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift for the UK market have been revealed. After Europe, the successful hatchback will make its way into our market pretty soon. Several months ago, Suzuki unveiled the latest Swift at the Japan Mobility Expo. Now, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to enhance one of India’s beloved cars. Our dealership sources indicate that unofficial reservations for it will soon be available. The new Swift has been reviewed by eminent media houses in the UK in the last couple of days. While there will be some adjustments for the version arriving in India, we already have a fairly good idea of what to expect. Here are the latest updates.

New Maruti Swift in UK Specs
In the UK, the new Swift features a brand-new engine. It now comes with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z Series mild hybrid engine which can be had with either a FWD or an AWD configuration. That is something we don’t have in India. In comparison to the Japanese model, the UK version generates a slightly higher torque output (113 Nm). However, the power figures are the same at 83 hp. The 12 V mild hybrid system will ensure high fuel efficiency numbers. It would be interesting to see what specifications the Indian avatar comes with.
