VW ID.4 Electric SUV Unveiled in India
We were present at the unveiling event organized by VW. At this event, we got to experience the EV in real life. It commands an imposing and authoritative demeanour along with representing the modern design language of Volkswagen. At the front, it gets a rather subtle fascia with sleek LED matrix headlamps with round LED DRLs. Moreover, the LED DRLs also surround the headlamp cluster and there is an LED string connecting the headlamps. Apart from that, there is a large grille section just like on traditional cars even though EVs don’t need fresh air for the engine. On the sides, it gets aerodynamically optimized 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, prominent wheel arches with black claddings and a texture behind the third pillar. At the rear, it gets a connected LED taillamp, a sturdy bumper with a silver insert and a shark fin antenna.

Interior and Features
Since this was just a walkaround tour, the exact information regarding the specific features is not available. Still, we get to witness the cabin of the ID.4. Interestingly, there is a large infotainment display at the centre of the dashboard but a smaller and more compact digital instrument cluster, which is quite common in modern cars. Apart from that, the powered front seats are visible in this video. Even the quality of the interior including the dashboard and upholstery looks top-notch. At the rear, there is enough space for two passengers. The boot compartment is pretty colossal. All in all, it gets the VW’s typically understated cabin.
