The facelift version of the Tata Punch was seen testing recently. Punch is one of the highest-selling vehicles in the country. It is certainly the leader in its segment. People are drawn to its demeanour. It carries a butch appearance and a proper mini-SUV stance. The buyers get a taste of an SUV without shelling out huge amounts as is the case with other large SUVs. Apart from that, its safety prowess (5-star Global NCAP rating) and the latest tech and convenience features are some of the other reasons for its immense success. However, it has not received any update since 2021. Therefore, the spy images of the Punch facelift are emerging.

These images come from v3cars on Instagram. They capture the facelift model of the mini SUV wrapped in camouflage. Still, the silhouette informs us about its credentials. At the front, we see a sleek bulge which represents the slim LED DRLs, the grille is broad and there is also a rugged skid plate. Apart from that, the side profile captures the flaring wheel arches, stylish alloy wheels, and a structure similar to the existing model. At the rear, we might see tweaked taillamps and bumper. However, the overall design theme could bear elements from the Punch EV.

Specs
There are unlikely to be any changes to the powertrain options. Hence, it will keep getting the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which generates a decent 86 hp and 113 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic gearbox. Apart from that, this engine also comes in a bi-fuel configuration which runs on CNG. In that case, the power and torque outputs drop to 72.4 hp and 103 Nm, respectively. At present, the CNG mill comes with a sole 5-speed manual transmission. However, since Tata has already introduced AMT gearboxes with its CNG range, the Punch facelift could bear that. The prices range from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift model will command a slight premium over these prices.
