Maruti Fronx Turbo vs Hyundai i20 N-Line Drag Race
This video comes from Rohan Makania on YouTube. The vlogger has the two vehicles side-by-side. For the first round, the drivers switch OFF the traction and AC to unleash the full potential of both these cars. Both cars have two passengers. As soon as the drivers press the accelerator pedals, the vehicles launch with vigour. They stay close to each other in the initial phase but the i20 N-Line secures a marginal lead. It maintains that lead until the end of the drag strip and emerges victorious. The team conducts multiple drag races in subsequent rounds with similar settings. The i20 N-Line was able to win every time.

For the next race, they perform a rolling race. They start the race in first gear at 20 km/h. Both cars stay neck-to-neck but the i20 N-Line takes the cake. However, it was with the tiniest of margins. Interestingly, the drivers decide to keep the traction OFF but switch the AC ON. In these settings, the Fronx was able to beat the i20 N-Line. It shows that the AC affects the performance of the i20 N-Line more than Fronx. All in all, a lot also depends on the skills of the driver. We also observed that the initial pull of the i20 N-Line can be useful in city driving, while the top-end performance of the Fronx is great for highway rides.

Author’s Note
While we acknowledge that YouTubers frequently employ drag races to evaluate vehicle performance, it’s crucial to acknowledge the enduring impact these races can have on cars. Everyday driving seldom entails high-acceleration straight-line bursts, and engaging in drag races with personal vehicles is discouraged due to safety and mechanical concerns. We strongly urge our readers to refrain from partaking in such activities and stress that drag races do not faithfully replicate real-world driving conditions.
