Tesla Model 3
On the inside, the minimalistic design approach gets a whole new meaning. The entire cabin is devoid of physical buttons apart from the two rotary dials on the steering wheel. All the in-cabin operations and amenities are operated via the 15-inch screen at the centre. It contains things like HVAC controls, steering adjustments, ORVM control, infotainment operation, and electrically powered seats with ventilation and lumbar support. Other amenities include two wireless charging ports, a wooden finish on the dashboard and door panels, plenty of storage spaces, a glass roof, electrochromic IRVM and more. It looks extremely sophisticated yet modern. The car reviewer mentions that the tech is more sophisticated and intuitive to use in the Model 3 in comparison to the Seal.

Driving Impressions
The most intriguing aspect of the two electric sedans is the way they drive. The host shows that the Tesla feels more planted and the suspension is toward the stiffer side in order to inspire confidence at high speeds on the highways and around the corners. However, its Autopilot feature is still in the Beta testing phase. Also, it was slightly more difficult to park in a tight spot. On the other hand, the softer suspension setup of the BYD is much more useful in the city. It filters more undulations and provides a comfortable ride. However, it compromises on the handling aspects. The video showcases the vehicle moving around under hard cornering. That is not something the owners would want to happen to public roads. Hence, the Tesla is definitely a better driver’s car than the BYD.

These EVs are definitely quite closely matched in terms of design, dimensions, features and capabilities. However, if you are looking for a vehicle which has a slightly smoother touchscreen infotainment system, and better driving dynamics, going for the Tesla Model 3 makes sense. But if you wish to save some bucks and get a modern interior with an electric sedan which can offer some fun on the track, BYD is the one for you. In either case, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
